Whole Wheat Biscuit Mix

You need:

13 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. powdered milk
6 Tbsp. baking powder
5 tsp. salt
3 c. oil

Combine flour, powdered milk, baking powder and salt. Blend in oil and beat until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

Mix can be used whenever Bisquick is called for in a recipe.

To make biscuits, add approximately 1 c. water to about 4 c. mix and knead until dough is smooth. Roll out and cut dough. Bake at 400 degrees farenheit for 15-20 minutes, until browned.

Recipe adapted by Veronica Bartles from a The Complete Family Cookbook (My mom used to use for everything when I was a kid. She used it so much that was missing the cover, so I don't know the title. I had to call my mom, who explained that she got her copy when she was a kid, as part of a gas station promotion. The book was in a 3-ring binder, with several recipe sections. First, you could get the binder and section 1. Then, each week, you could come back and buy the next section until you had a complete set. My grandpa bought one complete set for my grandma, and one for each of his three daughters.)
